Real per-size spec data pulled directly from the K2 Almanac product page. 7 sizes (137-161cm) covering riders from 70 lb to 230+ lb — a 7-size spread is unusually wide, made possible by K2's Volume Shift platform (shorter length + wider platform = same effective edge as a longer traditional board). All sizes share a centered setback (true twin stance, switch-friendly). Stance width scales with length: 18" (137) → 23" (161). Sidecut progresses from 6.0m (137) to 7.9m (161) — shorter lengths carve tighter, longer lengths hold a more stable arc at speed. Effective edge ranges from 102cm (137) to 121cm (161).
Component Breakdown
The Funnest Turn on Planet Earth
"The Funnest Turn on Planet Earth" — the Almanac is built around one core idea: make the turn the most fun part of the ride. Whether carving groomers, slashing side hits, or buttering through the park, the Almanac is designed to make every turn feel playful, surfy, and confidence-inspiring.
Volume Shift™ Construction
"Writing the newest chapter in Volume Shift™ snowboards" — K2's Volume Shift platform is the design philosophy behind the Almanac: a shorter board length with a wider platform. This delivers the nimble feel of a shorter board, the float of a longer board, and reduced swing weight for easier spinning and slashing. The result is a board that feels loose and playful without sacrificing stability or float.
Designed to Ride the Entire Resort
"Designed to ride the entire resort and score an A+ in the turning category" — the Almanac is K2's daily driver for the all-resort rider. From groomers to side hits, park features to tree runs, the Almanac is built to handle the whole mountain with the same playful, surfy feel.
Inspired by Party Platter + Excavator
"Takes inspiration from models like the Party Platter and Excavator" — the Almanac combines the loose, surfy feel of the Party Platter with the directional carving capability of the Excavator. The result is a board that carves hard when you put it on edge, plays loose when you want to slash.
Centered Stance (True Twin)
All 7 sizes share a centered setback — a true twin stance that's switch-friendly and balanced. The Almanac rides the same forward or switch, making it ideal for the rider who wants a freestyle-friendly board that still carves hard on groomers. The 7-size spread covers everything from youth/lightweight riders (137, 70 lb) to full-size adults (161, 230+ lb).
K2 Quality
Built by K2 — one of the most trusted names in snowboarding — the Almanac reflects the company's commitment to innovation, quality, and progression. The Volume Shift construction and resort-focused design make the Almanac the daily driver for the rider who wants a single board that handles the whole mountain.
