Youth Brigade Kids' Snowboard 2027

The CAPiTA Youth Brigade is the snowboard for the next generation — the young and hungry shredders ready to take their resort and park riding to elevated levels. With a true twin shape (0 taper), durable SPECIAL BLEND™ construction, Poplar + Beech core, and the XXX[TRUDED] extruded base for low maintenance, the Youth Brigade is built to handle the abuse of learning-to-ride while keeping the performance that makes snowboarding fun.

True Twin Shape (0 Taper)
The Youth Brigade features a true twin shape (0 taper on all sizes — confirmed by identical nose/tail measurements: 27.5/27.5, 27.8/27.8, 28.1/28.1, 28.4/28.4). This symmetrical shape lets young riders learn switch riding, spin off jumps, and land tricks in either direction. Perfect for the developing rider who's learning the fundamentals of freestyle.
Kids-Specific SPECIAL BLEND™ Construction
This custom SPECIAL BLEND™ configuration makes for a more durable yet lightweight board while providing the flexibility for kids to play on fun stuff like park jumps, bumps and boxes. The Youth Brigade's construction is specifically tuned for young riders — durable enough to handle the abuse of learning, flexible enough to make progression fun, and lightweight enough for smaller riders to maneuver easily.
Poplar + Beech Core
Poppy lightweight Poplar core combined with Beech for increased power and durability. Newly reengineered to taper between the insert packs for a more forgiving flex. The Youth Brigade's core is built for the developing rider — the tapered between inserts provides a softer tip and tail for pressability and easier turn initiation while maintaining strength through the bindings for edge hold and stability.
XXX[TRUDED] Extruded Base
If there's one thing we know about kids and groms, it's that they can be hard on their gear and they're never going to wax their snowboard. The XXX[TRUDED] base material is a high density extruded base material that is durable and low maintenance. The relative surface strength equals a base that will withstand the abuse of learning — built for kids who don't want to fuss with base care.

After Use
Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The Youth Brigade's durable construction handles the abuse of learning — store the board in a cool, dry place with bindings loose or removed. The true twin shape means both ends see equal wear — rotate the board or flip it periodically to distribute wear evenly.
Base & Edge Maintenance
The XXX[TRUDED] extruded base is specifically designed for kids who don't wax — it's durable and low maintenance. The high density extruded construction is more damage-resistant than sintered bases, perfect for the abuse of learning to ride. Sharpen edges periodically to maintain edge hold, but the kids-specific flex is more forgiving so less frequent sharpening is needed compared to adult boards.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Youth Brigade's stripped-down construction with Poplar + Beech core and SPECIAL BLEND fiberglass is stable but can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than heavier boards — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The compact size makes it easy to store.
Binding Compatibility
The Youth Brigade uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major kids' binding brands. The true twin shape means bindings should be mounted centered for balanced switch riding. The very soft flex pairs well with soft kids' bindings (like the Burton Grom, Union Cadet, or NOW Junior). Built for the young and hungry shredder who wants one board that handles resort and park progression.
