The Men's Wander Shorts are built with added stretch and featured for performance. When you're looking for mobility and comfort on the trail, these sweat-wicking and water-repellent shorts should be your first choice. With an internal liner and a water-repellent finish, they're ready for anything from campus to the campsite. The 2-in-1 construction pairs a stretch outer short with a built-in liner, so the shorts move as one piece on the trail and the liner stays put when you're running, scrambling, or just chasing the dog.

Regular Fit
Regular fit through the hip and thigh with a straight leg — a clean silhouette that doesn't cling and doesn't billow. Built for movement: the regular cut clears the thighs on a long stride, accommodates the liner without bunching, and looks unfussy on a casual day around town. Sized for a range of trail and everyday use rather than a single specialty.
FlashDry™ Moisture Management
FlashDry materials offer enhanced moisture management to help keep you comfortable — the fabric pulls sweat off the skin and spreads it across the surface for fast evaporation. The shorts dry quickly between miles and between washes, and the moisture-wicking finish keeps the fabric from staying damp and heavy on a long approach. The technology is built into the fiber, so it doesn't wash out over time.
Non-PFC DWR Finish
Non-PFC durable water-repellent finish for added water repellency — light rain, trail puddles, and damp grass bead up and roll off the surface of the shorts instead of soaking through to the liner. The non-PFC formulation means no perfluorinated chemicals in the finish, so the shorts handle weather without the environmental baggage of a traditional DWR.
Recycled Polyester Body & Liner
Body fabric made with 86% recycled polyester; liner short made with 88% recycled polyester. Both fabrics use post-consumer plastic that would otherwise be in a landfill. The recycled content doesn't compromise performance — the body still stretches, the liner still wicks, and both still recover from a hard day on the trail.
Stretch Waistband with Drawcord
Stretch waistband with an internal drawcord for adjustability — the elastane-blend waistband moves with the body through deep lunges, scrambles, and high steps, and the internal drawcord tunes the fit in small increments. The drawcord is hidden inside the waistband, so it doesn't flap around as a dangling strap. Wears cleanly under a pack hip belt.
Slash Hand Pockets
Slash hand pockets on the sides for hands, a phone, a map, or a small snack — the angled cut lies flat against the thigh when the pockets are empty, and the depth is enough to keep a phone from bouncing out on a run. The pocket openings are reinforced at the topstitch to handle the weight of a phone or a set of keys without sagging.
Built-In Liner Short
Internal liner short built into the construction — the liner stays put through running, scrambling, and high-stepping, where loose shorts would ride up and require constant adjustment. The liner also adds a layer of modesty for swimming or wading, and a soft layer against the skin on a long day in the saddle. The 2-in-1 build means one less thing to pack for a trip.
Heat-Transfer Logo on Left Thigh
Heat transfer logo on the left thigh — the lightweight, low-bulk branding that doesn't add a sewn-on patch or a heavy print. The heat-transfer process bonds the logo to the fabric, so it moves with the shorts instead of sitting on top of them. Subtle enough to disappear in a gym bag, visible enough to read the brand mark in daylight.

Machine Wash
Machine wash cold with like colors. Use a mild detergent. Turn the shorts inside out to protect the heat-transfer logo on the thigh. Wash with similar fabrics to avoid pilling from rougher materials like denim or canvas. Cold water preserves the elastane stretch, the FlashDry finish, and the recycled polyester — and uses less energy than a warm cycle.
Tumble Dry Low
Tumble dry on low heat, or lay flat to dry. Remove from the dryer promptly to minimize wrinkles. High heat will degrade the elastane stretch, the FlashDry moisture-wicking finish, and the heat-transfer logo. Low heat or line drying extends the life of the shorts significantly and keeps the liner performing like new.
Do Not Bleach
Do not use chlorine bleach or fabric softener. Bleach breaks down the recycled polyester fibers, fades the heat-transfer logo, and degrades the FlashDry finish. Fabric softener coats the fibers with a film that clogs the moisture-wicking finish and reduces the breathability of both the body fabric and the liner. A mild detergent and a proper wash cycle handle odor and sweat without either chemical.
Do Not Iron
Do not iron. The 2-in-1 construction, the elastane stretch, and the heat-transfer logo can all be damaged by direct iron heat. The shorts come out of the wash with minimal wrinkles thanks to the polyester/elastane blend. If pressing is needed, use a steamer on a low setting held a few inches from the fabric.
Restore DWR
When the body fabric starts to absorb water instead of repelling it, re-treat with a spray-on DWR designed for technical outerwear. Reactivating the finish every few months keeps the shorts handling trail puddles, damp grass, and light rain without soaking through. The non-PFC finish means standard household waterproofing sprays work — no need for a fluorocarbon-based product.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Hang on a clip hanger by the waistband, or fold loosely. Avoid leaving the shorts crumpled in a gym bag for extended periods — the FlashDry finish needs airflow to fully dry between uses, and a sealed gym bag is the perfect environment for mildew to set in. After a sweaty run or hike, hang the shorts to dry before folding them away.
