Inspired by the legendary Base Camp Duffel, the Base Camp Travel Canister—L is a simple, durable, 5.7-liter carry-all equipped to hold toiletries and other small accessories. Built with the same bombproof materials as the expedition duffels, it's the travel-ready answer for organizing your kit — a hang hook for camp showers or hotel bathrooms, a built-in mirror, and twin haul handles for grab-and-go convenience. Whether you're heading to the backcountry bivy, the gym locker room, or a week in Tokyo, this is the toiletries bag that goes the distance.
Spot clean with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap — handles most daily dust, toothpaste smears, and toiletry spills without a full wash.
Wipe down the phthalate-free PVC coating on the body and the non-PFC DWR-treated boot with a damp cloth periodically to refresh the water-shedding performance and remove any soap residue, toothpaste, or grime buildup.
For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting the canister — squeeze gently and press water out with a towel.
Open the D-zip and the zippered flap fully after each use to air dry completely. This prevents mildew and odor buildup from damp toothbrushes, washcloths, or soap residue.
Hang to air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Do not tumble dry and do not iron — heat can damage the phthalate-free PVC coating and the non-PFC DWR finish on the boot fabric.
Do not bleach and do not dry clean — both can strip the DWR finish and degrade the recycled polyester and recycled ballistic nylon fabrics.
Re-treat the DWR finish on the boot fabric periodically (or as needed) with a non-PFC spray-on water repellent (like Nikwax TX Direct or Granger's Performance Repel) to refresh the water-shedding performance.
Wipe the included mirror with a soft microfiber cloth after use to prevent water spots and soap scum. Store the mirror attached via the hook-and-loop strap inside the canister so it's always in the same place.
Check the D-zip and the zippered flap zipper teeth periodically for any snags or debris — rinse with fresh water after beach or pool use to remove salt or chlorine that can degrade the zipper coating over time.
Store the canister in a cool, dry place when not in use. Leave it open slightly to allow air circulation and prevent odor buildup.
