Work Tall Crew Socks

The Work Light Cushion Tall Crew Sock is ready for the grind, day in and day out. Made with responsibly sourced Merino wool, this sock features our Indestructawool™ durability technology, which is intentionally knit into high-impact wear zones to help your socks last. They also feature an oversized welt for extra ankle protection, toe-cap cushioning for comfort in steel-toe and safety-toe footwear, and extended ankle and Achillies durability zones.

Indestructawool™ Work-Zone Durability
Indestructawool™ technology intentionally knit into high-impact wear zones — heel, toe, and ball of the foot. The reinforcement is in the knit itself, so it doesn't wash out or pill down through daily industrial wear the way a generic work sock does.
Toe-Cap Cushioning For Steel-Toe Footwear
Targeted cushioning built into the toe cap area specifically for steel-toe and safety-toe boots. The extra padding softens the rigid toe box of a work boot, reduces pressure on the toes across long shifts, and absorbs the impact of kneeling, crouching, and ladder rungs.
Oversized Welt For Ankle Protection
A taller, looser knit welt around the cuff than a standard comfort welt — designed to sit above the boot collar and protect the ankle from chafing when a steel-toe boot breaks in stiff. The welt holds the sock in place across a full shift without binding or rolling down.
Extended Ankle & Achilles Durability Zone
Reinforced knit construction extends down from the cuff through the ankle and Achilles area — the high-rub zone where a work boot flexes against the sock with every step. The extended zone prevents the hole-at-the-heel failure mode that ends most work socks in the first three months.
Light Cushion Under Foot
Light Cushion on the entire bottom of the foot — enough padding to absorb the impact of concrete floors and ladder rungs, but thin enough to fit comfortably inside a structured safety-toe boot without crowding the toe box.
Tall Crew Height Coverage
Tall Crew height rises well above the ankle to protect the lower calf from boot collar rub and debris. The added coverage matters in work boots where the cuff sits higher than a standard hiking boot cuff.
Made in USA
61% Wool-Merino, 37% Nylon, 2% Elastane. Knit in the United States. The nylon backbone adds the structural durability a work sock needs; the elastane adds stretch recovery; the Merino handles odor and moisture across long shifts.

Washing
Machine wash on a gentle cycle in warm or cool water. Turn socks inside out before washing to protect the outer knit and help release body soil from the cushion. Avoid fabric softener, which coats Merino fibers and reduces moisture-wicking performance — important on long shifts where sweat sits in the sock.
Drying
Tumble dry low. Heat helps the Merino fibers re-loft and restores cushion volume. High heat can shrink the sock and damage the elastane recovery — keep the setting low and remove promptly.
Bleach & Iron
Do not bleach. Do not iron. Bleach breaks down Merino wool fibers and destroys the elastane; iron heat can scorch the knit and flatten the cushion loft that protects the foot inside a steel-toe boot.
Dry Cleaning
Do not dry clean. The harsh solvents used in commercial dry cleaning strip the natural lanolin from Merino wool and degrade the nylon/elastane construction — both of which are core to the sock's durability.
Storage
Store paired and unfolded in a dry space. Merino's natural odor resistance means you can wear the same pair across multiple shifts between washes — useful for work rotations where laundry cycles aren't daily.

Merino Layer System — SW003300

Built For

Construction & Job Site
All-Day Shift
Framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing — any job site where you're on your feet 8+ hours on concrete and plywood. Toe-cap cushion softens the rigid steel-toe box, oversized welt protects the ankle from boot-collar break-in, and Indestructawool™ outlasts the daily wash cycle.
Warehouse & Industrial
Multi-Shift
Logistics, manufacturing, distribution centers where foot fatigue from hard floors cuts productivity. Light Cushion under the foot absorbs the concrete impact without crowding the safety boot. Merino's odor resistance means one pair covers multiple shifts between washes.
Trades & Field Service
Kneeling & Climbing
HVAC, mechanical, utility work, ladder climbs, kneeling jobs. The Extended Ankle & Achilles Durability Zone prevents the heel hole that kills most work socks in the first quarter. Light Cushion stays comfortable across temperature swings from a cold truck cab to a hot attic.
Multi-Day Work Trips
Travel Rotation
Out-of-town job assignments where packing light matters. Merino's odor resistance means two pairs cover a full week of work rotations. The Made-in-USA construction holds up to the daily wash cycle that travel laundry demands.
Build The Stack

Pair It With A Steel-Toe Boot

The Work Tall Crew is built for the structured safety boot — leather or composite-toe, mid-height or 8-inch, with the rigid toe box and stiff sole that defines work footwear. Light Cushion keeps the sock thin enough to fit inside a safety toe without crowding.

  • Steel-toe work boot construction + job site
  • Composite-toe safety boot metal-free workplaces
  • 8-inch work boot ankle support on rough terrain
  • Insulated work boot cold storage + winter sites
Complete The Kit

Layer Up The Body

The Work Tall Crew is the foot half of a complete workwear layering system. Pair it with a Classic Thermal Merino Base Layer for cold job sites or a Smartloft vest for core warmth without restricting arm movement on the ladder.

  • Classic Thermal Merino base layer cold job sites
  • Smartloft vest core warmth + free arms
  • Work hoodie or insulated jacket static warmth on breaks
  • Reversible cuffed Merino beanie head coverage under hard hat

Prepared with intention.
