Lightly cushioned sock provides the highest degree of comfort, fit, and durability without the bulk that a full-cushion or maximum-cushion sock creates — the right cushion level for hikers who want Merino next-to-skin comfort and shock absorption underfoot without the bulk that compromises boot fit on a precision-fit hiking boot or trail runner. The light cushion delivers padding where the foot needs it (underfoot, at the heel, around the toe box) without the volume that would create a pressure point or a bunching point inside a tighter-fitting shoe.
Mid-Crew Height
Mid-crew height sits lower than a standard crew — the right sock height for low-cut hiking shoes, trail runners, and approach shoes where a full crew would be too tall. The mid-crew height keeps the cuff above the shoe's collar (so debris doesn't drop into the shoe) without rising as high as a full crew that would show above the shoe's ankle padding. The mid-crew is the right compromise between a no-show (too low for hiking) and a full crew (too high for trail runners).

Washing
Machine wash on gentle cycle in warm or cool water. Wash with like colors — the Merino-nylon-elastane blend benefits from isolated washing to protect the fabric's moisture-management properties and the Indestructawool™ extended wear zones. Use a mild, technical wash; avoid fabric softeners (they coat the Merino fibers and reduce natural moisture management, and they can degrade the elastane's stretch recovery in the 4 Degree™ fit system).
Drying
Tumble dry low. The Indestructawool™ extended durability zones, the 4 Degree™ elite fit compression points, and the Virtually Seamless™ toe construction tolerate low-heat tumble drying without distorting the sock's structure — low heat restores the loft of the Merino fibers and the elasticity of the compression points. Do not tumble dry on medium or high heat; high heat can degrade the elastane's stretch recovery and shrink the Merino fibers.
Bleach, Iron & Dry Cleaning
Do not bleach. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Bleach breaks down Merino wool fibers and degrades the elastane in the 4 Degree™ fit system. Ironing is unnecessary for a knit sock and high heat can scorch the Merino and damage the elastane. The harsh solvents used in commercial dry cleaning strip the natural lanolin from Merino and degrade the Indestructawool™ yarn blend.
Storage
Store folded in a dry, breathable space. Merino's natural odor resistance means the same sock covers multiple hiking days between washes, which extends the fabric's lifespan and makes this a true multi-day-trip workhorse. Folded storage preserves the 4 Degree™ elite fit compression points and the Indestructawool™ extended wear reinforcement; balling or crumpling the sock for long periods can distort the updated mesh zones and compress the light cushion's loft.
