Tracer TLR All Terrain Gravel Tire
Tracer TLR
Gravel · Mixed Terrain · 460g

One tire, any surface. Tracer TLR is the versatile tubeless gravel tire built for hardpack racing, loose gravel exploring, and singletrack adventures. Its compact center knob cluster rolls fast on hardpack while wide-set aggressive T5 compound knobs on the shoulders deliver traction and stability in mixed terrain. The 60TPI 3-ply TLR casing eliminates flats while keeping weight reasonable, and Roval Terra wheel pairing is optimized for the best combination of speed, strength, and ride quality available.

  • GRIPTON T5 Compound: Grippy T5 rubber on shoulder knobs for traction in mixed terrain — hardpack, loose gravel, singletrack.
  • Compact Center Knob Cluster: Fast-rolling center knobs for speed on hardpack and gravel roads.
  • 60TPI 3-Ply TLR Casing: Strong and fast-rolling tubeless casing — 6% more pinch-flat resistance than previous generation.
  • Roval Terra Pairing: Co-engineered with Terra wheels for unmatched speed, strength, and ride quality.
  • Tan Sidewall Available: Classic tan sidewall option for style-conscious riders.
  • 3 Sizes: 700x40c (460g), 700x45c (530g), 700x50c (550g).

Use: Mixed terrain gravel — hardpack racing, loose gravel exploring, singletrack adventures. The Tracer is the do-everything gravel tire: fast enough for race day, tough enough for off-road exploration. The 40c size is notably light at 460g — competitive with dedicated race tires while offering more mixed-terrain capability.

T5 Compound — Traction for Mixed Terrain
GRIPTON T5 is Specialized's grip-optimized compound for the shoulder knobs: soft enough to dig into loose gravel and firm enough to maintain structure on hardpack. The Tracer's wide-set T5 knobs on the shoulders bite into mixed terrain while the compact center knob cluster maintains efficient rolling on hardpack surfaces. T5 isn't the softest compound Specialized makes — it's tuned for the mixed-terrain reality where you need grip without sacrificing too much rolling resistance. 2 watts faster per tire than the previous generation.
Tracer + Terra — Engineered Together
The Tracer and Roval Terra wheels are co-developed: they work as a system, not just alongside each other. The Terra TLR requires 6% more force to pinch flat than the previous generation — meaningful improvement in the real-world conditions where gravel tires get hammered. Pairing Tracer with Terra wheels gets you the best combination of speed, strength, and ride quality in Specialized's gravel lineup.
3-Ply TLR Casing — Strong Without Excess Weight
The 60TPI 3-ply TLR casing is built for gravel durability without the weight penalty of mountain bike casings. Three plies of protection handle the sharp rocks and debris that gravel riding throws at you, while the tubeless setup lets you run lower pressures for better traction without worrying about pinch flats. One reviewer put 1,000 miles on a set with no flats — others note the tires run slightly undersize on narrow rims but stretch to true after break-in.
