Purgatory Grid Trail 2Bliss Ready T7
Purgatory Grid Trail T7
Trail · 2Bliss Ready · 915g

Meet the totally new Purgatory — the do-it-all tread for trail riders who need grip across a wide range of terrain. Large center square lugs bite in soft soil while still providing support on hard-packed ground, equally at home on the front or back of the bike. Block-in-block knobs roll fast, adapt to terrain, and stay confident when pushed hard. GRIPTON T7 compound prioritizes rolling speed and longevity while still delivering excellent grip. Grid Trail casing adds bead-to-bead protection on top of the tough 60TPI trail construction. There's plenty of meat on the Purgatory to offer reassuring grip across a wide range of terrain.

  • GRIPTON T7 Compound: Balanced speed and grip — rolls fast, great longevity, still grips well.
  • Large Center Square Lugs: Bite in soft soil, support on hardpack — versatile across terrain types.
  • Block-in-Block Knobs: Adapt to find grip, roll fast, stay confident when pushed hard.
  • Staggered Shoulder Blocks: Predictability and corner control from loose dirt to hardpack.
  • Grid Trail 60TPI Casing: Tough MTB trail construction with bead-to-bead protection.
  • 2Bliss Ready: Tubeless-compatible with exceptional puncture resistance and sidewall stability.

Use: Trail riding — front or rear. The Purgatory is the versatile trail tire for riders who encounter varied terrain and want one tire that handles everything. At 915-980g it's lighter than the Grid Gravity options, making it better for climbing and all-day rides where the burly enduro casings would be overkill.

Large Center Lugs — Soft Soil to Hardpack
The Purgatory's large center square lugs are designed for one thing: bite. They dig into soft soil for climbing and braking traction, then flatten against hardpack to provide a stable platform. Unlike more specialized treads that excel in one condition and suffer in others, the Purgatory's center lugs adapt. Block-in-block transition knobs help by providing a progressive transition from the center to the shoulder — the tire doesn't step突然ly from grip to slip.
T7 — Speed Without Sacrifice
GRIPTON T7 is the firmer of the two Purgatory compounds (T9 is the softer, gummier option). T7 prioritizes rolling speed and longevity — it holds up better over time than the softer T9. The tradeoff is slightly less grip in the absolute worst conditions, but for most trail riding, T7 is the right balance. Riders coming from more aggressive tires note the Purgatory T7 rolls faster while still providing good corner traction.
Grid Trail — Trail-Weight Protection
Grid Trail adds bead-to-bead protection to the base Grid casing — the step up from XC casings for riders who push hard. 60TPI construction with sidewall protection panels handles the rock strikes and debris that trail riding delivers. At 915g (27.5") and 980g (29"), the Purgatory is lighter than the Grid Gravity options (Butcher at 1260g+, Cannibal at 1330g+) — you're saving significant weight for the climbing portion of rides where you don't need enduro-level protection.
