12° Flare vs. 4° — Why More Flare Matters for Gravel
The Terra's 12° flare is 3x the flare of Roval's road bars (4°). This matters on gravel because when you're descending a loose gravel road at speed, you need more stability in the drops — the flared position gives your hands more room to move and a wider, more stable platform. The flare also means more hand positions overall, which reduces hand fatigue on multi-hour gravel rides.
Shallow Drop / Moderate Reach — Built for All Day
The Terra's 103mm drop and 70mm reach are shallower/shorter than road race bars (125mm/75mm). This is intentional — on a gravel ride, you spend more time in the drops on rough terrain, and a shallower drop means less wrist extension and more control. The moderate reach keeps your position comfortable for hours, even when the roads are rough.
Ergonomic Top Perch — Pressure Relief
