Alpine High Socks
Alpine High Socks
Hiking Socks · Merino Wool Blend · Knee-High Cushioning

The Alpine High socks feature a warm merino wool blend, extra cushioning throughout and a knit pattern engineered to help add breathability when needed the most.

Knee-High Cut
High sock height delivers full calf coverage for alpine boots, mountaineering shells, and winter pac boots — sealing in warmth where the lower calf meets the upper boot collar.
Merino Wool Blend
Made with 37% merino wool for natural warmth, moisture management, and odor resistance on multi-day trips where drying out a wet pair isn't in the cards.
Breathable Knit Pattern
Engineered knit pattern on the sole and top of the front foot adds breathability exactly where heat builds up — venting moisture while keeping the rest of the foot insulated.
Ribbed Upper
Rib on top of the sock keeps it standing tall without slipping down into the boot — a stay-put fit that doesn't dig in or leave marks after a long approach.
Midfoot Support Belt
Top-belt support at the midfoot adds a secure, comfortable hug through the arch — locking the sock to the foot so it doesn't bunch or slide during high-output movement.
Cushioned Throughout
Padded sole paired with targeted cushioning at the ankle, Achilles, front sole, and extended toe absorbs impact and reduces friction — extra cushioning in front protects the ball of the foot on long descents.
Extended Heel
Extended heel construction adds coverage and cushioning at the back of the foot — a buffer against heel lift and the rubbing that turns into blisters over a long day.
Stretch Construction
Built with stretch fibers for full range of motion on steep terrain, deep kick steps, and crampon work — the sock moves with the foot instead of fighting it.

Materials

Body
53% polyamide, 37% merino wool, 7% polypropylene, 2% elastane, 1% metallic yarn
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle or wool cycle with a mild detergent designed for merino. Turn the socks inside-out before washing to protect the knit pattern on the sole and front foot from pilling.
Detergent
Skip bleach, fabric softeners, and enzyme-based detergents — they break down the merino wool fibers, strip the natural odor resistance, and degrade the elastane stretch over time.
Drying
Tumble dry low or lay flat to air dry. Avoid high heat and direct sunlight, which shrink the merino and damage the elastane. Merino dries fast on its own — no dryer needed for routine drying.
Between Wears
Merino's natural odor resistance means the socks can be aired out and worn multiple times between washes. Hang them by the ribbed cuff after a long day and they're ready to go again the next morning.
Storage
Store folded in a drawer or bin — avoid hanging by a single point for long periods, which can stretch the ribbed cuff. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve the yarn colors and the metallic yarn finish.
