Climate Conscious Cotton Body

Darted Hood with Drawcord
Darted hood construction gives the crown a cleaner shape, and the drawcord lets you cinch it down for wind, cold, or just blocking peripheral glare when you're focused on the trail ahead.

Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Turn the hoodie inside out before washing to protect the embroidered chest logo from abrasion against other garments and zippers. Use mild detergent and skip chlorine bleach, which breaks down the recycled cotton fibers and can yellow the rib trim.
Drying
Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. High heat can shrink the cotton fibers and damage the elastane in the rib cuffs and hem — if the hoodie feels tight after a hot dryer run, a quick gentle wash and flat dry will let it rebound. Reshape the hood while damp so the darts lay smooth.
Ironing & Steaming
Iron on low heat if needed, avoiding the embroidered logo directly. A handheld steamer works well for refreshing the relaxed fit without flattening the fabric texture. Don't press the rib trim hard — high heat and pressure can crush the rib's recovery.
Storage
Fold and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Long UV exposure can weaken the recycled cotton fibers and fade the dye — hanging the hoodie on a wide hanger for long periods can stretch out the shoulders, so folding is better for the relaxed silhouette.
Pilling Prevention
The cotton/recycled polyester blend can pill at high-friction zones (under the arms, where a backpack strap sits) over time. Wash inside out, avoid washing with rough items like denim or Velcro, and use a fabric shaver to gently remove pills when they appear rather than pulling them off.
End of Life
This hoodie is part of the Circular Design initiative — designed to be returned, disassembled, and recycled into raw materials for a second generation of products when it's reached the end of its usable life rather than sent to landfill. Check current take-back options through The North Face before retiring the garment.

Returns & Exchanges:
If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
