Cleaning
Brush off dirt, mud, ash, and salt with a stiff bristle brush after each outing. Wipe the 3 mm Idro-Perwanger® roughout leather with lukewarm water and mild soap; rinse and towel dry.
Conditioning
Periodically treat the roughout leather with a wax- or oil-based conditioner designed for fire/rescue boots to maintain water repellency, prevent drying, and preserve heat-resistance properties.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or radiators. Remove the EZ-Flex tongue and the 8 mm MtnFlex insole to allow airflow through the abrasion-resistant 3D AirMesh lining.
Nomex® Laces
Inspect Nomex® laces for abrasion or fraying after heavy use. Heat-damaged laces lose fire-resistance and should be replaced immediately.
Resoling
The Vibram® Fire & Ice outsole is resoleable, extending the life of the boot well beyond the original tread.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Loosen all Nomex® laces and lightly stuff with paper to hold the 8-inch shaft shape and absorb residual moisture.
