Cleaning

Brush off dirt, mud, and salt with a stiff bristle brush after each outing. Wipe the 1.6 mm water-repellent Idro-Perwanger® leather upper and rubber-reinforced toecap with lukewarm water and mild soap; rinse and towel dry.

Drying

Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or radiators. Loosen all laces and unlace the 3D Flex Ankle System Evo™ area to allow airflow through the AirMesh collar and ePE GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining.

Leather Care

The 1.6 mm water-repellent Idro-Perwanger® leather retains repellency well; periodically treat with a leather conditioner or wax designed for full-grain hiking boots to prevent drying and maintain weatherproofing.

Waterproofing Refresh

Periodically revive the ePE GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane's water repellency with a spray-on DWR treatment designed for technical hiking boots. Treat the abrasion-resistant welt as well to maintain its protective properties.

Resoling

The resoleable Vibram® Spring-lug tread extends the life of the boot well beyond the original outsole. Have resoling done by a qualified cobbler familiar with mountaineering boots to preserve the Double Heel™ geometry.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Loosen all laces and lightly stuff with paper to hold shape and absorb residual moisture.
