The breathable and super-comfortable unisex Base Camp Mule is perfect for warm spring and summer days. But it's more than just the ultimate lounge shoe for base camp and beyond; it's also our first shoe to incorporate principles of Circular Design. Made with fewer parts and materials, the Base Camp Mule was designed so that consumers can return it to us when they're done with it. It will be disassembled and the components will be recycled. To reduce cardboard, orders containing just this pair of shoes will be shipped in the original shoebox without an additional outer cardboard box. This unisex style uses men's sizing. Please use our size guide to find your women's sizing conversion.

Breathable upper
Breathable upper is made with 100% recycled P.E.T. mesh across the top of the foot, and the heel is made with 50% recycled polyester-spandex spacer mesh
Collapsible heel
Collapsible heel can be worn up for light support or folded down for easy on/off
Removable footbed
Fully removable, molded internal footbed made with 30% recycled EVA
Footbed texture
Raised texture on footbed helps to prevent foot slippage and provides additional underfoot comfort
Translucent rubber outsole
Durable translucent rubber outsole for added protection whether you're inside or outdoors
2 mm lugs
2 mm lugs for outdoor capability
Grip sole
Rubber compounds deliver grip, traction and durability on both wet and dry surfaces.

Cleaning
Remove loose dirt with a soft brush or cloth. Hand wash with mild soap and cool water. Do not machine wash.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or sunlight. Remove the footbed to dry separately for best results.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
End-of-Life Recycling
As part of our Circular Design initiative, return this mule to The North Face when you're done with it. We'll disassemble it and recycle the components into raw materials for a second generation of products.

Shipping Policy

Components:

All component items (wheels, drivetrains, suspension, brakes, etc.) ship within 1–4 business days of purchase.

Bicycles:

Complete bikes typically ship within 2–3 weeks due to build, tuning, and inspection times. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship.

Riding Gear & Apparel:

Riding gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 1–3 business days.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
