Women's TNF Easy Wind Jacket
Women's TNF Easy Wind Jacket
Wind Protection · Lightweight Layer · Spring/Summer 26

Lightweight with a relaxed fit, the Women's TNF Easy Wind Jacket is both sophisticated and straightforward and will help protect you from the wind and elements. Built with WINDWALL™ wind-resistant recycled nylon and finished with non-PFC DWR for water repellency, it's the grab-and-go layer for shoulder-season hikes, cool-morning trail runs, breezy travel days, and everyday wear.

Benefits
Wind Protection
WINDWALL™ fabric blocks wind chill without bulk — keeps the breeze off your core on blustery days.
Water Repellent
Non-PFC DWR finish beads light rain and morning dew so you stay dry through passing showers.
Lightweight
70D 138 g/m² recycled nylon — packs down small, layer-friendly, easy to stash in a pack or tote.
Recycled Material
Body fabric made with 100% recycled nylon from post-consumer waste — diverts fishing nets and fabric scraps from landfill.
Relaxed Fit
Relaxed cut layers easily over a baselayer or light fleece without restricting movement — true to a comfortable silhouette.
Fit & Style
Relaxed Fit
Relaxed fit through the body and sleeves — easy on, easy to move in. Layers comfortably over a long-sleeve tee, midweight fleece, or lightweight insulation. Not baggy, just unrestrictive.
Lay-Down Collar
Lay-down collar (not stand-up) — folds flat against the shoulders when zipped up, looks clean and intentional. Doesn't ride up against the chin or ears during high-output activity.
Two-Way Center Front Zipper
Two-way center front zip with a kissing welt (the zipper teeth are covered so they don't touch your chin/mouth when fully zipped). The two-way design lets you unzip from the bottom for ventilation or to access a baselayer pocket without opening the jacket fully. Puller matches the hand-pocket zippers for a clean, uniform look.
Center Back Box Pleat
Center back box pleat — a small folded pleat at the upper back that adds range of motion across the shoulders. Critical for hiking, climbing, and reaching overhead without the back of the jacket pulling or riding up.
Back Locker Loop
Back locker loop at the inside collar (TNF Black to match the body color) — for hanging on a hook at home, on a hostel bunk, or in a gear closet. Small detail, big convenience.
Embroidered Logos
Embroidered logo on left chest and back-right shoulder — subtle branding that doesn't shout. Embroidery (vs. printed) holds up to repeated wash cycles without fading, cracking, or peeling.
Weather Protection
WINDWALL™ Wind-Resistant Fabric
WINDWALL™ fabric blocks wind penetration to prevent convective heat loss — keeps you warmer in moving air than an unblocked weave. TNF's wind-blocking tech for active layering.
Non-PFC DWR Finish
Non-PFC DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish beads light rain, mist, and morning dew so water rolls off instead of soaking through. Without perfluorinated chemicals — better for the environment without sacrificing water-shedding performance.
Storage & Closures
Concealed-Zip Hand Pockets
Concealed-zip hand pockets — zippers tuck into the pocket welt so the front of the jacket stays clean and flat. Sized for hands, phone, keys, or a small snack. Zippers keep contents secure when you're on the move.
Encased Elastic at Cuffs & Hem
Encased-elastic cuffs and hem — elastic wrapped in fabric (not exposed rubber) for a cleaner look and to prevent the elastic from snagging on watches, gloves, or pack straps. Seals out drafts at the wrists and waist without binding.
Sustainability
75–100% Recycled or Sustainable Materials
Body fabric is 100% recycled nylon (diverted post-consumer waste), cuff and pocket lining are 100% recycled polyester, and the non-PFC DWR finish avoids persistent "forever chemicals." Total garment composition falls within TNF's "Best" sustainability tier (75–100% recycled or sustainable materials).

Exploration Without Compromise
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use a mild technical wash or liquid detergent — skip powdered detergent (can leave residue on the DWR finish), fabric softener (can coat WINDWALL™ and reduce wind-blocking performance over time), and bleach (breaks down recycled nylon fibers). Zip up the center front zipper, hand pockets, and any other zippers before washing to prevent snagging on the agitator.
Drying
Tumble dry low or hang to dry. The 70D recycled nylon dries quickly on its own — most wearers find hang-drying adequate. If you tumble dry, use low heat; high heat can damage the WINDWALL™ treatment, weaken the encased-elastic cuffs and hem, and warp the zipper components.
DWR Refresh
The non-PFC DWR finish will wear off with use and washes. When water stops beading and starts to soak into the nylon, refresh with a spray-on water repellent specifically labeled PFC-free or non-PFC (e.g., Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On, Gear Aid ReviveX, or Grangers Performance Repel). Apply to clean, dry jacket and tumble dry low for 15–20 minutes (or use a hair dryer on medium heat) to cure the finish back into the fabric.
WINDWALL™ Care
WINDWALL™ performance is built into the tight weave of the 70D recycled nylon — it doesn't wash out like a coating. To preserve it: avoid fabric softeners, avoid dry cleaning (the solvents strip the DWR and can delaminate bonded components), and avoid excessive abrasion (e.g., don't wear it under a heavy backpack with rough hip belts day after day).
Encased-Elastic Care
The encased-elastic cuffs and hem (elastic wrapped in fabric) will eventually lose tension with heavy use and washing. Don't pull or stretch the elastic aggressively when wet — it's most vulnerable to tearing then. If the elastic puckers or bunches when new, a light tumble-dry with low heat usually relaxes it flat.
Two-Way Zipper Care
The two-way center front zipper is a more complex component than a standard zipper. To prevent the slider from separating: keep the zipper closed when washing, lubricate lightly with a graphite pencil tip or beeswax if the slider sticks, and avoid forcing the bottom pull when the slider is in the wrong position (you can break the retainer box). If the two-way function sticks, the slider is usually worn — replaceable, but typically a sign the jacket is well-loved.
Embroidered Logo Care
The embroidered logos on the left chest and back-right shoulder are stitched directly into the fabric — they hold up to washing far better than printed or heat-transfer logos. Avoid ironing directly on the embroidery (high heat can flatten the stitching or scorch the threads). If ironing is needed, use a pressing cloth between the iron and the embroidered area, or iron on the inside of the jacket.
Box Pleat Care
The center back box pleat is a folded-and-stitched panel that gives the jacket shoulder mobility. The stitching can weaken if the pleat is repeatedly pulled or stretched. When hanging on the locker loop, let the jacket hang naturally — don't stuff the locker loop into a hanger which can stress the pleat stitching.
Concealed-Zip Pocket Care
The concealed-zip hand pocket zippers are smaller-gauge than the main zipper and more prone to sticking. Keep them free of debris (especially sand, lint, and crumbs) — a quick brush or compressed air blow-out periodically keeps them sliding smoothly. Avoid overstuffing the pockets, which stresses the pocket seams.
Storage
Hang on the back locker loop between wears, or fold loosely in a drawer. For long-term storage (off-season), avoid compressing the jacket in a stuff sack for months — the encased-elastic can take a compression set. Store flat or hanging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight (UV degrades the recycled nylon and the non-PFC DWR finish over time).
Stain Treatment
For mud, dirt, food, or grass stains, spot-treat first with a damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent — don't scrub aggressively (can damage the WINDWALL™ weave). For oil-based stains (sunscreen, lotion, grease), pre-treat with a small amount of dish soap before washing. Avoid chlorine bleach — it yellows the recycled nylon and breaks down the DWR finish.
Travel Tip
This jacket is built to travel — the lightweight 70D recycled nylon packs down to roughly the size of a water bottle. Roll, don't fold, to minimize creasing in luggage. The wind- and water-resistance makes it a reliable layer for unpredictable weather at airports, on planes, and at destinations with shifting conditions.
