Women's Summit Series Off Width Jacket
Women's Summit Series Off Width Jacket
Climbing Shell · Mountaineering / Alpine / Ice Climbing

Advanced mobility. Distraction-free climbing. The Women's Summit Series Off Width Jacket was born on the wall — a highly wind-resistant layer engineered with lightweight, stretch-woven fabric and an articulated construction for full range of motion. The slim, close-to-body fit is designed for comfort while wearing a harness. When not in use, the jacket stows in its own internal hood pouch with a carabiner webbing loop — a true companion for technical alpine ascents.

Wind-resistant WINDWALL™
Wind-resistant WINDWALL™ fabric blocks wind-chill at the front, arms, and core while remaining breathable enough for high-output alpine movement
Targeted stretch zones
Targeted use of lightweight stretch-woven fabric in the back panel and underarm gussets for full range of motion — high reaches and dynamic climbing moves without restriction
Non-PFC DWR finish
Non-PFC DWR finish for added water repellency — light moisture and spindrift bead off the face fabric
High recycled content
Main body fabric made with 89% recycled nylon; center-back and underarm fabric made with 85% recycled nylon — premium performance with deep sustainability
Climbing-helmet-compatible hood
Pre-tensioned, adjustable, climbing-helmet-compatible hood with a bonded brim and cinch-cord adjustment in back — seals out wind without blocking vision on alpine starts
Stows in own hood pouch + carabiner loop
Stows in an internal hood pouch that also has a webbing loop for carabiner attachment — pack the jacket down and clip to a harness for approach
Darted sleeve articulation
Sleeves feature darted articulation and underarm gussets for mobility — reach overhead and extend without the sleeves riding up or binding
Water-resistant VISLON® CFZ
Water-resistant VISLON® center front zip with an internal kissing welt — sealed closure that doesn't snag
Laser-perforated hand pockets
Hand pockets with exposed, water-resistant, reverse-coil zips + interior laser-cut perforations for air permeability — secure storage that also breathes
Low-profile hem
Low-profile hem with pre-tensioned, encased elastic at sides — stays tucked under a harness without bunching or riding up
Bemis-ladder bonded cuffs
Narrow cuff openings have Bemis-ladder bonding and FLASHDRY™ PRO elastic — sealed against wind and snow without binding at the wrist
Flat-bonded critical seams
Critical seams are flat bonded for comfort — no chafing on long alpine days, under a pack, or under a harness
Slim fit
Slim, close-to-body fit is designed for comfort while wearing a harness — no excess fabric to catch on belay devices or carabiners

Sustainability

Recycled Content
Main body 89% recycled nylon + center-back/underarms 85% recycled nylon
DWR Treatment
Non-PFC durable water-repellent finish (no perfluorinated chemicals)
Washing
Close all zippers, including the VISLON® CFZ and hand pocket zips, before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle in a front-loading washer with a mild technical-fabric detergent. Avoid chlorine bleach and fabric softener — softener can coat the WINDWALL™ membrane and reduce wind-blocking performance.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate the DWR finish. Hang dry if preferred. Air dry completely before storage to prevent mildew and odor — important for a jacket that gets used in harsh alpine conditions.
DWR Refresh
Non-PFC DWR wears off with heavy use. Re-treat periodically with a spray-on DWR designed for technical wind shells to maintain surface water beading on the WINDWALL™ main body.
WINDWALL™ Care
The WINDWALL™ fabric is built into the construction. Avoid harsh detergents and high heat (tumble dry high, iron, hot dryer sheets) which can damage the membrane over time.
Bemis-Ladder Bonded Cuffs
The Bemis-ladder bonding creates the low-profile cuff seal. Inspect the bonding periodically for peeling or lifting — if the bond starts to fail, the cuff seal and wind protection are compromised.
Flat-Bonded Seams
Critical seams are flat bonded for comfort. Avoid pulling or stressing the bond points — flat bonding is strong but not as flexible as stitched seams, so the bond can crack if over-flexed in storage.
Laser-Perforated Pockets
The laser-cut perforations in the hand pocket interiors are designed for breathability. Avoid machine drying the pockets inside-out, which can stress the perforation edges.
Hood Pouch + Carabiner Loop
The internal hood pouch + carabiner webbing loop is the storage system. Inspect the loop and pouch seam before each use — if the loop tears, the jacket can fall from a harness during an approach.
Stow & Storage
Stow the jacket in its own internal hood pouch for transport and clipping to a harness or pack. For at-home storage, hang on a wide hanger or store loosely folded in a cool, dry place. Long-term compression can crack the flat-bonded seams.
