Its minimalist design cuts bulk while still offering technical touches, like harness-friendly pockets and stretch that moves with you through each move on the wall. Designed specifically for high-output ascents — ice climbing, mountaineering, and mixed alpine routes.

Washing
Close all zippers (especially the AquaGuard® pocket zippers and leg gusset zips) before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using a technical fabric wash (such as Nikwax Tech Wash). Do not use regular detergent, bleach, or fabric softener — they degrade the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane, the PFC-free DWR finish, and can damage the bonded kickpatches.
Drying
Tumble dry LOW for 20-30 minutes to reactivate the PFC-free DWR finish. Hang to dry fully if needed. Do not wring. Avoid high heat which can damage the membrane and shrink the face fabric.
DWR Refresh
When water stops beading on the face fabric, reproof with a spray-on DWR treatment (such as Nikwax TX Direct Spray-On) to restore water repellency on the 20D recycled polyester shell.
Seam Sealing
This pant comes with fully sealed seams. Periodically check seams for wear or peeling — alpine shells live hard and a failed seam can soak you on a wet route. Re-seal with a seam-grip product compatible with FUTURELIGHT™ if needed.
Kickpatch Care
Inspect bonded kickpatches after each season for abrasion. The bonded construction is durable but crampon strikes can damage them. Patch small cuts with tenacious tape before they spread.
Zippers & Hardware
Periodically lubricate zippers (including the AquaGuard® pocket zippers + leg gusset zips) with a silicone-based lubricant. Test the snap-adjustable leg openings + gear loop periodically for wear.
Integrated Belt
The built-in belt has an elastic back panel for harness comfort — period check that the belt webbing isn't frayed. Avoid storing with the belt cinched tightly for long periods — stretches the elastic.
Storage
Hang on wide hangers or store loosely folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid long-term compression in a pack or gear bin. Ensure fully dry before storing to prevent mildew.
