Women’s Plus Glacier Fleece Jacket
Women’s Plus Glacier Fleece Jacket
Apparel · Midlayer / Plus-Size Fleece

Lightweight, warm and made of 100% recycled fabric, the Women’s Plus Glacier Fleece Jacket is a layerable classic that easily takes you from town to trail, and is available in extended sizing. As one of our Circular Design styles, it’s built to be more easily broken down and turned into new gear at the end of its usable life.

100% Recycled Polyester Fleece
75D 165 g/m² 100% recycled polyester fleece — lightweight + warm for a layerable midweight that works as a standalone or under a shell
Circular Design
Thoughtfully designed to be disassembled and recycled by TNF at the end of its life into raw materials for a second generation of products — closes the material loop, minimizes waste and pollution
Reverse-Coil Center Front Zip with Cord Puller
Reverse-coil center front zip with a cord puller — easy to operate with gloves on, the cord puller is a real convenience feature for cold-weather use
Concealed-Zip Hand Pockets
Reverse-coil, concealed-zip hand pockets — zippers are hidden in the seam for a clean exterior profile, the pockets keep essentials secure during daily wear
Reinforced Mechanical-Stretch Binding
Reinforced mechanical-stretch binding on the collar, cuffs, and hem — adds comfort and durability without elastane (the mechanical stretch comes from the fabric construction, not a synthetic stretch fiber)
External Locker Loop
External locker loop at the back of the neckline — hang on a hook for storage or transport without creasing the body
Embroidered Logos
Embroidered logo on left chest and back-right shoulder — subtle branding
Layerable Regular Fit
Regular fit designed to layer over a baselayer or under a shell — versatile for shoulder-season wear as outerwear or cold-weather wear as a midlayer

Circular Design
Designed to be disassembled and recycled by TNF at end of life into raw materials for a second-generation product
Washing
Close the center front zip fully and the pocket zips before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use a mild technical cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger’s Performance Wash to maintain the 75D 165 g/m² fleece performance. Regular household detergent leaves residue that can mat the fleece fibers and reduce the soft hand-feel over time. Avoid chlorine bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Do not dry clean (solvents destroy the fleece fibers and the 100% recycled polyester).
Drying
Tumble dry on low for 10–15 minutes, or hang to dry. The 75D 165 g/m² fleece is quick-drying — typically dry in a single low-heat cycle. Avoid high heat — can damage the fleece fibers, the mechanical-stretch binding at the collar/cuffs/hem, and the embroidered logos. A short tumble cycle actually restores the loft of the fleece (heat + tumbling = fluffing action).
Pilling Prevention
All fleece pills with wear — the 75D face fabric is midweight, so pilling is more common than with heavier fleeces. The most common pilling zones are: under the arms (sleeve + body friction), along the side seams, and where the backpack straps sit. Turn the jacket inside out before washing to reduce outer-face pilling. Use a fabric shaver to refresh pilled areas — don’t pull pills off by hand, as that damages the underlying fibers.
Mechanical-Stretch Binding Care
The mechanical-stretch binding at the collar, cuffs, and hem is a different kind of stretch than elastane — the stretch comes from the fabric construction (the knit pattern allows stretch without synthetic fibers), not from a stretch fiber. The binding is more durable than elastane binding but can lose its snap-back over years of heavy use. If the binding starts to bag out, a quick hand-stitch with matching thread at the seam restores the fit. Don’t over-stretch when putting on or taking off — the binding can permanently deform if stretched repeatedly beyond its range.
Concealed-Zip Hand Pockets
The concealed-zip hand pockets are designed to be hidden in the seam for a clean exterior profile. The reverse-coil zippers are durable but the most failure-prone part of the jacket. Keep the coils clear of debris with a soft brush, lubricate sparingly with a silicone-based lubricant (Nikwax, GE Silicone II) if they start sticking, and never force a stuck zipper — back it off and clear debris from the coil. The pocket lining is the same 50D 90 g/m² recycled polyester as the body — durable for daily use.
Reverse-Coil Center Front Zip with Cord Puller
The reverse-coil center front zip with the cord puller is the most-operated closure on the jacket. The cord puller is the most likely wear point — if the cord frays at the end, trim and heat-seal the tip with a lighter (carefully, briefly) to prevent further unraveling. The zip itself is durable; if it sticks, lubricate sparingly with a silicone-based lubricant (never force).
Embroidered Logo Care
The embroidered logos on the left chest and back-right shoulder are durable but can pill or fray with heavy wear. Don’t iron directly on the embroidery — the heat can melt or distort the threads. If the embroidery starts to fray, a quick hand-stitch with matching thread stops the fraying.
Locker Loop Use
The external locker loop at the back of the neckline is designed for hanging on a hook for storage or transport. Don’t hang the jacket on a thin wire hanger — the wire can stretch the shoulder fabric and deform the mechanical-stretch binding. Use a wide wooden or plastic hanger, or hang by the locker loop only (not on a hanger).
Storage (Off-Season)
Store clean, dry, and uncompressed in a cool, dark, dry place — hanging on a wide hanger or folded loosely. The 75D 165 g/m² fleece is midweight and doesn’t benefit from compression storage; long-term compression can flatten the loft and reduce thermal performance. Keep out of direct sunlight (UV degrades the 100% recycled polyester over time). If you own multiple fleeces, rotate them to extend the life of each.
Plus-Size Specific Fit Notes
The Plus cut is designed for a fuller figure — different proportions than the standard Women’s Glacier Fleece. The mechanical-stretch binding at the cuffs, hem, and collar accommodates a wider range of arm + body movement without binding. If you’re between sizes (e.g., usually a 1X but sometimes a 2X), size up for layering comfort, or size down for a more fitted look. The 27.5″ center back is hip-length — works for most torso lengths in plus sizing.
Circular Design Lifecycle
At end of life, return the jacket to TNF’s Circular Design take-back program where the 100% recycled polyester body, pocket lining, and binding can be broken down and recycled into raw materials for a second generation of products. The mono-material construction (all polyester) makes the recycling process cleaner and more efficient. Do not add custom patches, embroidery, or non-polyester elements if you plan to return the jacket at end of life — those additions can disrupt the recycling process.
