Men’s Yumiori ¼-Zip
Apparel · Top / Fleece Pullover

Get in your feelings with Yumiori. Easy going and easy to wear, the ultra-soft Men’s Yumiori ¼-Zip Jacket features fully recycled fleece for those in-between temps any time of year. With strategic reinforced bindings for extra durability and uncompromising comfort, this is one layer you’ll want to get your hands on.

Ultra-Soft Recycled Fleece
150D 255 g/m² 100% recycled polyester double-sided brushed tumbled-fleece knit — the “tumbled” finish gives the fleece a softer, more worn-in hand-feel than standard brushed fleece; works as a standalone pullover or midlayer
Two-Layer Stand Collar
Two-layer stand collar holds its shape without collapsing or rolling — provides neck coverage without the bulk of a full hood
Closed-End VISLON® Quarter Zip with Auto-Lock
Closed-end VISLON® center front quarter zip with an auto-lock slider — the closed-end zip stops at one end (doesn’t fully unzip), and the auto-lock locks the slider in place when not actively pulling, keeping the zip in position during movement
Vertical Chest Pocket
Vertical chest pocket with a closed-end VISLON® zip — secure storage for phone, card, or small essentials at chest height; the vertical orientation keeps the pocket profile flat
Reinforced Mechanical-Stretch Binding
Reinforced mechanical-stretch binding on the cuffs and hem for added comfort and durability — mechanical stretch from fabric construction (no elastane), real differentiator from cheaper fleeces that use elastic binding
Embroidered Logo
Tonal embroidered logo on the left chest pocket and back-right shoulder — subtle branding that doesn’t shout
Recycled Materials Throughout
Body 100% recycled polyester, pocket lining 100% recycled polyester
In-Between Temp Layer
Built for in-between temps any time of year — works as a midlayer under a shell in winter, as a standalone in shoulder seasons, or as a casual layer for everyday wear

Washing
Close the center front quarter zip and the chest pocket zip fully before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use a mild technical cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger’s Performance Wash to maintain the 150D 255 g/m² fleece performance. Regular household detergent leaves residue that can mat the fleece fibers and reduce the soft hand-feel of the tumbled-fleece finish over time. Avoid chlorine bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Do not dry clean.
Drying
Tumble dry on low for 10–15 minutes, or hang to dry. The 150D 255 g/m² tumbled fleece dries quickly — typically dry in a single low-heat cycle. Avoid high heat — can damage the mechanical-stretch binding at the cuffs and hem, the closed-end VISLON® zippers, and the embroidered logos. A short tumble cycle actually restores the loft of the fleece (heat + tumbling = fluffing action).
Tumbled-Fleece Care
The tumbled-fleece finish is what gives the Yumiori its signature soft, worn-in hand-feel. To preserve this softness, avoid fabric softener entirely — softener leaves a waxy residue on the fleece fibers that can mask the tumbled finish. If the fleece starts feeling less soft after a year of regular use, a wash with Nikwax Tech Wash (no fabric softener) usually restores the softness.
Pilling Prevention
All fleece pills with wear — the 150D 255 g/m² is mid-to-heavyweight, so pilling is less common than with lighter fleeces but still happens. The most common pilling zones are: under the arms (sleeve + body friction), along the side seams, and where backpack straps sit. Turn the pullover inside out before washing to reduce outer-face pilling. Use a fabric shaver to refresh pilled areas — don’t pull pills off by hand, as that damages the underlying fibers.
Mechanical-Stretch Binding Care
The mechanical-stretch binding at the cuffs and hem is a different kind of stretch than elastane — the stretch comes from the fabric construction, not a synthetic stretch fiber. The binding is more durable than elastane binding but can lose its snap-back over years of heavy use. If the binding starts to bag out, a quick hand-stitch with matching thread at the seam restores the fit. Don’t over-stretch when putting on or taking off — the binding can permanently deform if stretched repeatedly beyond its range.
Closed-End VISLON® Zipper Care
The closed-end VISLON® zippers (CF and chest pocket) are designed to stop at one end — do not force the slider past the closed end as it can break the bottom stop. The auto-lock slider locks the zip in position when not actively pulling — to unlock, lift the slider tab slightly and slide. Keep the coils clear of debris with a soft brush, lubricate sparingly with a silicone-based lubricant (Nikwax, GE Silicone II) if they start sticking.
Stand Collar Care
The two-layer stand collar holds its shape well, but over years of heavy wear the inner layer can compress while the outer layer holds shape — creating a “loose” feel. Hand-wash the collar area more carefully (small amount of mild soap + cool water + soft cloth) to extend the collar’s life. If the collar loses its shape, a quick hand-stitch with matching thread at the inner layer seam restores structure.
Vertical Chest Pocket Care
The vertical chest pocket is sized for a phone, card, or small essentials. Don’t overload the pocket with heavy or bulky items (large phones, wallets, keys) — can stress the pocket seam and pull the pocket off the body. Empty the chest pocket before washing to prevent items from damaging the closed-end VISLON® zip coil or the pocket interior during the wash cycle.
Embroidered Logo Care
The tonal embroidered logos on the left chest pocket and back-right shoulder are durable but can pill or fray with heavy wear. Don’t iron directly on the embroidery — the heat can melt or distort the threads. If the embroidery starts to fray, a quick hand-stitch with matching thread stops the fraying.
Storage (Off-Season)
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place — hanging on a wide hanger or folded loosely. The 150D 255 g/m² fleece is mid-to-heavyweight and doesn’t benefit from compression storage; long-term compression can flatten the loft and reduce thermal performance. Keep out of direct sunlight (UV degrades the 100% recycled polyester over time). If you own multiple fleeces, rotate them to extend the life of each.
Layering System
The Yumiori is built for in-between temps any time of year — works as a midlayer under a shell (like the Tsirku Jacket #71 or Mountain Bibs system) in winter, as a standalone pullover in shoulder seasons, or as a casual layer for everyday wear. The 150D weight is substantial enough to be a real midlayer in a system, not just a casual fleece.
