Washing
Machine wash cold with like colors. Turn the pants inside out to protect the embroidered logo and the woven face fabric. Use a mild technical-fabric detergent. Avoid chlorine bleach and fabric softener — softener can coat the WINDWALL™ fibers and reduce wind-blocking performance.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate the DWR finish. Hang dry if preferred. Reshape the encased-elastic waistband and cuffs while damp.
Detergent
Use a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softener — it can coat the WINDWALL™ fibers and reduce wind-blocking and breathability over time.
DWR Refresh
Non-PFC DWR wears off with heavy use. Re-treat periodically with a spray-on DWR designed for technical pants to maintain surface water beading.
Stain & Trail Care
Pre-treat mud, grass, food, and sweat stains with a dab of mild detergent before washing. Rinse thoroughly to keep the WINDWALL™ and 100% recycled pocket lining working at full performance.
Hardware Care
Check the encased-elastic waistband drawcord and the back welt pocket zip periodically. Clear debris and re-thread the drawcord if it has shifted inside the channel.
WINDWALL™ Care
The WINDWALL™ fabric is built into the construction. Avoid harsh detergents and high heat (tumble dry high, iron, hot dryer sheets) which can damage the membrane over time.
Storage
Fold in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Hanging can stretch the encased-elastic waistband over time; folding preserves the shape and the WINDWALL™ performance.
