Men's Summit Series Papsura FUTURELIGHT™ Jacket
Men's Summit Series Papsura FUTURELIGHT™ Jacket
Summit Series Alpine Shell · FUTURELIGHT™ 3L · 7.9 oz / 224 g · 100% Recycled Nylon · Packable · Seamless Shoulders · Underarm Gussets

As TNF's lightest Summit Series shell, the Men's FUTURELIGHT™ Papsura Jacket delivers serious protection from the elements in a durable, low-bulk design. The breathable-waterproof FUTURELIGHT™ 3L fabric is built from ultralight, 100% recycled nylon and packs down into its own pocket for convenience. A seamless shoulder design, underarm gussets, and an adjustable hood keep you comfortable and moving freely whether you're on the wall or on the trail.

Regular Fit
A regular fit layers cleanly over a baselayer or thin fleece and stays out of the way of a climbing harness or pack hip-belt — built for active movement on technical terrain.
FUTURELIGHT™ 3L Membrane
A breathable-waterproof, seam-sealed FUTURELIGHT™ 3L membrane delivers serious weather protection — the nano-spun membrane structure is tuned for both high breathability during high-output climbs and full waterproofness in sustained rain.
Non-PFC DWR Finish
A non-PFC durable water-repellent finish on the face fabric causes water to bead up and roll off — keeps the ultralight 7D × 15D nylon from saturating and protects the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane underneath.
100% Recycled Nylon Body
The body fabric is made from 100% recycled nylon — high-performance alpine-grade material with a much lighter footprint on the planet.
Attached Adjustable Hood
An attached, adjustable hood with encased-elastic opening, bonded brim, and rear cinch-cord with cord lock seals out wind and rain — the bonded brim holds its shape without flopping in the wind.
VISLON® AquaGuard® Center Zip
A water-resistant VISLON® AquaGuard® center front zip seals out rain at the most exposed entry point — the chunky-tooth design is easier to grab and pull with cold or gloved hands.
Seamless Shoulder Design
No shoulder seams means reduced bulk and zero chafing points under pack straps — the entire shoulder panel is one continuous piece of fabric for friction-free carries on long alpine days.
Underarm Gussets for Mobility
Underarm gussets open up the armhole for full reach when you're high-stepping, stemming chimneys, or reaching for the next hold — no binding across the back or under the arms during high-output moves.
Covered Secure-Zip Hand Pockets
Two covered, secure-zip hand pockets keep gloves, lip balm, and snacks protected — the covered zippers shed rain and snow without snagging on pack straps or harness webbing.
Internal Pocket Organization
The left hand pocket has an internal mesh pouch for small essentials like a phone or map; the right hand pocket has an internal gear loop for clipping keys, a knife, or a belay device.
Stows in Right Hand Pocket
The entire jacket stuffs into its own right hand pocket — compresses down to pack size for stashing in a climbing pack, hauler, or carry-on without taking up extra room.
Bonded Cuffs with Encased Elastic
Bonded cuffs with partial, pre-tensioned encased elastic seal out drafts and weather at the wrists — no bulky adjustment tabs to snag on gloves or carabiners.
Low-Profile Bonded Hem
A low-profile hem with bonded front and back and pre-tensioned encased elastic on the sides seals in warmth without bulk — sits cleanly under a climbing harness and won't ride up on long reaches.

What's Included
In Box
1 × Men's Summit Series Papsura FUTURELIGHT™ Jacket

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a technical wash like Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger's Performance Wash — close all zippers and secure the hood before washing. Avoid regular detergent, which can coat the ultralight 7D × 15D nylon and degrade the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane and DWR finish.

Turn the jacket inside out before washing to protect the face fabric from abrasion. The ultralight ripstop is delicate by design — keep sharp gear and Velcro away from the shell to prevent snags.

Tumble dry on low to medium heat for 20–30 minutes — the gentle heat reactivates the non-PFC DWR finish, restoring water-shedding performance. Do not over-dry, and remove promptly to prevent heat damage to the bonded cuffs and hem.

Do not bleach, do not use fabric softener, and do not use dryer sheets — these can coat the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane and reduce both waterproofness and breathability.

Do not iron, do not dry clean, and do not use solvents — heat and chemicals will damage the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane, the sealed seams, and the ultralight ripstop face fabric.

Re-apply a non-PFC DWR spray-on treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct or Granger's Performance Repel) after several washes, or whenever water stops beading on the surface — refreshes the water-shedding performance without compromising the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane's breathability.

Store dry in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid leaving the jacket crumpled in a damp stuff sack — long-term compression can degrade the DWR finish and put unnecessary stress on the bonded seams.
