Men’s Carto Mono Triclimate™ Hooded Jacket
Men’s Carto Mono Triclimate™ Hooded Jacket
Apparel · Outerwear / 3-in-1 Modular

The Men’s Carto Mono Triclimate™ Hooded Jacket is a versatile 3-in-1 layering system that pairs a waterproof DRYVENT™ Mono shell with a warm HEATSEEKER™ insulated liner jacket designed for confidently taking on wet, wintry conditions—or for wearing separately as weather allows.

3-in-1 Triclimate™ System
Outer shell and inner liner zip and snap together via Triclimate™ loops and snaps; wear the shell alone, the liner alone, or both zipped together for three configurations in one jacket
Outer: DRYVENT™ Mono 2L Shell
Seam-sealed, waterproof protection in a mono-material construction — single-polymer design engineered to be fully recycled by TNF and returned to the supply chain at end of life
Outer: Non-PFC DWR Finish
DWR finish on the shell fabric sheds light rain and snow without PFCs
Outer: Adjustable Hood
Attached, adjustable hood with cinch-cord and cord locks front and back for a dialed-in fit
Outer: Hook-and-Loop Cuff Tabs
Adjustable hook-and-loop cuff tabs seal out wind and weather
Inner: WINDWALL™ Body
Wind-resistant WINDWALL™ fabric on the inner liner blocks wind chill and adds structure
Inner: HEATSEEKER™ Insulation
Hollow-core synthetic insulation delivers reliable warmth with excellent wet-weather performance; continues insulating when damp
Inner: Secure-Zip Hand Pockets
Hand pockets with secure zips on the inner jacket keep essentials close
Recycled Materials
Outer body, inner body, linings, and pocket linings all made with 100% recycled polyester; insulation 70% post-consumer recycled polyester
Circular Design
Part of TNF’s Circular Design initiative — built with mono-material construction to be taken back and re-introduced into the supply chain, minimizing waste and pollution
Triclimate™ Compatible
Both inner and outer have Triclimate™ loops and snaps — pair with other Triclimate™-compatible TNF pieces for extended modularity
Standard Fit
Regular cut that layers cleanly over a baselayer and accommodates the inner liner without binding

Circular Design

PFC Status
Non-PFC DWR (outer + inner)
Washing the System
Wash the two pieces separately — never wash the shell and liner zipped together (the zippers, snaps, and modular hardware can damage the membrane and insulation in the wash). Close all zippers and fasten the Triclimate™ snaps on both pieces before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors.
Detergent
Use a technical cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger’s Performance Wash to maintain the non-PFC DWR finish on the DRYVENT™ Mono outer and the WINDWALL™ inner. Regular household detergent leaves residue that degrades DWR, can clog the mono-material membrane’s pores, and mats the HEATSEEKER™ fill. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets on both pieces. Do not dry clean (solvents destroy DWR, the recycled polyester face, and the HEATSEEKER™ loft).
Drying
Tumble dry each piece on low to reactivate the DWR finish. A short 10–15 minute low-heat cycle is usually enough — long high-heat cycles can damage the WINDWALL™ inner, the embroidery, the hook-and-loop cuff tabs, and the DRYVENT™ Mono membrane. Hang dry is fine if you tumble briefly afterward to restore water beading on the outer.
DWR Re-Proofing (Outer)
When water stops beading on the 75D DRYVENT™ Mono shell, re-treat with a spray-on DWR such as Nikwax TX Direct or Granger’s Performance Repel. Apply to the clean, damp outer, paying extra attention to the shoulders (where pack straps wear the DWR fastest), the hood, and the cuff tabs. A short low-heat tumble helps set the finish.
HEATSEEKER™ Re-Fluffing (Inner)
At the end of every season, tumble the inner liner on low for 10–15 minutes with 2–3 clean tennis balls to re-fluff the 100 g HEATSEEKER™ fill. Manual hand-fluffing of any clumped sections is fine if the jacket has been stored compressed. The liner is the layer most likely to lose loft over time, so regular re-fluffing extends its warmth life.
Triclimate™ Hardware
The Triclimate™ loops and snaps on the inner and outer are the modular connection points — keep them free of debris, lint, and corrosion. If a snap loosens or a loop tears, take the jacket to a TNF repair center or a qualified tailor; do not improvise. Avoid pulling the two pieces apart when zipped — release the snaps first to avoid tearing the loops.
Storage
Store both pieces clean, dry, and uncompressed in a cool, dark, dry place. Hang on wide hangers or fold flat. Never store zipped together long-term — the modular hardware can deform the membrane and insulation over time. Long-term compression breaks down HEATSEEKER™ fill, flattens the DRYVENT™ Mono membrane, and delaminates seam tape. Keep out of direct sunlight (UV degrades both the recycled polyester face and the non-PFC DWR).
End-of-Life (Circular Design)
The DRYVENT™ Mono outer is built from a single polymer family so it can be returned to TNF and re-introduced into the supply chain at end of life. Check TNF’s Circular Design take-back program in your region for current drop-off and recycling options.
