TNF's moisture management treatment — pulls sweat away from skin and accelerates drying
Cleaning
Machine wash cold (30 °C) on a gentle cycle with a mild, color-safe detergent. Turn the leggings inside out before washing to protect the heat transfer logo on the left thigh and to reduce pilling on the 230 g/m² polyester/elastane knit. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or stain remover — softener is the #1 enemy of FLASHDRY™ (coats the fibers and blocks the moisture-wicking action), and bleach degrades the elastane stretch and the recycled polyester.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. Low tumble heat restores the FLASHDRY™ moisture-wicking performance and refreshes the elastane stretch. Avoid high heat — it damages the 23% elastane, breaks down the FLASHDRY™ treatment, and can cause the waistband's internal elastic to lose its snap-back. Remove promptly to limit wrinkles; the polyester/elastane knit dries quickly.
FLASHDRY™ Moisture Management
FLASHDRY™ is the chemical treatment on the body fabric that pulls moisture away from skin and accelerates drying. Fabric softener and dryer sheets coat the fibers with a hydrophobic film that blocks the wicking action. Skip softener entirely, including any "athletic" or "sport" formulas that contain softener. Tumble dry on low to maintain full performance; line-drying also works if you avoid softener in the wash.
Elastane Stretch
The 23% elastane gives the leggings their uncompromising mobility — but elastane is heat-sensitive. High-temperature wash, hot tumble dry, or any direct heat (radiators, hair dryers, hot car interiors) breaks down the stretch fibers over time. Cool water and low-heat tumble drying preserve the stretch across years of wear.
Wide Supportive Waistband
The wide, supportive waistband with internal elastic holds its shape better than a standard narrow elastic waistband — but the internal elastic is still sensitive to heat. Pull the leggings on from the foot, not by the waistband, to avoid stretching the elastic out prematurely. If the elastic loses its snap-back, the waistband service can be replaced through TNF's repair program.
Heat Transfer Logo
The heat transfer logo on the left thigh is bonded into the fabric — wash inside out to protect it from abrasion. Don't iron directly on the transfer; iron on the reverse side only at low-medium heat with steam. Harsh detergents, bleach, and high heat can cause the transfer to peel. If the transfer starts lifting at the edge, clip the lifted portion with sharp scissors to prevent further peeling.
Fitted Leg Silhouette
The fitted silhouette means these are next-to-skin — avoid washing with rough fabrics (denim, jackets with hook-and-loop, bags with abrasive bottoms) that can pill the 230 g/m² knit. Wash inside a mesh laundry bag if the leggings will be in a mixed load. Use gentle spin cycles to reduce stretch on the elastane.
23" Inseam
The 23" inseam is consistent across the size run (XS through XXL) — the fabric stretches to accommodate the leg length without binding. Don't pull on the inseam or the gusset area when putting the leggings on or pulling them off; the stretch fabric is engineered to fit without stretching.
Sizing Considerations for Growing Kids
The size run covers XS (6) through XXL (18/20), tracking to standard US kids' sizes. Kids grow fast — if she's between sizes or near the top of a size range, consider the next size up for more wear. Fitted knits don't have recovery room for growth spurts. Rotate outgrown pairs promptly rather than forcing overstretched wear.
Kids' Wear Rotation
Active kids' leggings see daily wear — rotate between two pairs when possible so the FLASHDRY™ treatment has time to fully recover between wears. Don't store them damp in a backpack or gym bag — moisture + body oils in a closed environment promotes bacterial growth and odor in the elastic waistband and the knit interior.
Storage
Fold and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. UV exposure breaks down FLASHDRY™ over time and fades any colored knit. Avoid compressing the waistband under heavy gear for long periods — flattened elastic loses its rebound. Confirm the leggings are fully dry before storage to prevent mildew in the knit.
