Built from the burly, ultra-durable Base Camp material, the Base Camp Dry Bag 8L is engineered to keep your belongings dry and protected, no matter the conditions. With a secure roll-top closure, 8-liter capacity, daisy-chain webbing for clipping extra gear, and a reinforced bottom for additional protection, you can store all your small essentials when out on the water or in the elements.

Base Camp Material Construction
Durable Base Camp material is designed to withstand abrasions and stand up to heavy use — the same battle-tested TPU-coated fabric as the flagship Base Camp Duffel line, built to handle river trips, boat decks, and rough outdoor conditions.
Waterproof Roll-Top Closure
Roll-top design that can be rolled and clipped to close — folds the top down 3-4 times and buckles for a watertight seal that keeps rain, splashes, spray, and brief submersions out of the bag.
Hypalon® Collar
Rugged Hypalon® collar at the top of the bag creates structure for easier rolling — a stiff, abrasion-resistant reinforcement that holds its shape when you're folding the closure and protects the most vulnerable sealing edge.
Daisy-Chain Lash Points
Daisy-chain webbing offers lash points for clipping the dry bag to the outside of a pack, securing it inside a raft or canoe, or attaching extra gear with carabiners — versatile carry options for water and land.
Reinforced Boot
Reinforced boot at the base of the bag adds additional protection — handles being set down on wet rocks, gravel boat ramps, muddy trailhead parking lots, and sand without wearing through the bottom.
Non-PFC DWR Finish
Non-PFC durable water-repellent finish on the outer face causes water to bead up and roll off the fabric — adds an extra layer of moisture protection beyond the TPU coating, without the use of harmful perfluorinated chemicals.

Cleaning
Rinse off mud, salt, and grime with fresh water after each use — especially important after exposure to salt water or sandy environments, where residual grit can degrade the TPU coating and clog the buckle over time. For tougher dirt, use a soft brush and mild soap.
Drying
Open the roll-top closure and air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or sunlight. The TPU-coated fabric dries quickly on its own — never use a dryer or direct heat, which can warp the Hypalon® collar and degrade the TPU coating.
Closure Maintenance
Periodically check the roll-top buckle for trapped debris, sand, or salt crystals — rinse the buckle with fresh water to keep it clipping cleanly. A sticky or corroded buckle is the most common failure point on a dry bag.
Seal Inspection
Inspect the TPU-coated body periodically for pinholes, cuts, or worn areas — small punctures can be patched with a TPU repair patch (similar to those used for inflatable paddleboards) to extend the life of the bag.
DWR Refresh
Re-apply a DWR treatment to the outer fabric when water stops beading on the surface — the TPU coating keeps water out from the inside, but the DWR finish helps water roll off the outside for quicker drying and easier cleaning.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Leave the roll-top unclipped so the bag is fully open — long-term compression of the rolled closure can cause the TPU coating to stick to itself. Don't store wet or with moisture trapped inside.
