Seattle Pack

Roomy, retro, and ready for the road ahead. Vintage-styled Seattle Pack is the largest in the Retro Series, with space for electronics, accessories, and two H2O bottles. Fleece-lined pockets add a little luxury to this spacious sidekick.

Extra Large 34 L Capacity
A 34 L main compartment — the largest in the Retro Series, sized for a workday laptop-plus-gear-plus-travel kit without forcing the bag into a checked-luggage profile. The headline capacity for a pack that doubles as a personal-item on a flight.
Dual Water Bottle Pockets
Dual large water bottle pockets sized for a 32 oz insulated bottle on each side — the same bottles that don’t fit in a standard single-pocket backpack. The pockets sit flat when empty so they don’t bulge into the side profile, and the elasticized openings grip the bottle neck without snapping back.
Reinforced Bottom Boot
A padded bottom boot — the reinforced base panel that takes the abuse of being set down on wet pavement, dropped at airport security, or leaned against a gym locker. The padding stiffens the bottom of the pack so the load doesn’t bottom out when the pack is set down heavily.
Fleece-Lined Laptop Sleeve
A fleece-lined laptop sleeve with iPad separation — the dedicated padded pocket for a 13″ to 16″ laptop plus a separate fleece-lined slot for a tablet. The fleece lining cushions the device screens against the harder back panel, and the iPad separation stops the tablet from sliding against the laptop.
Fleece-Lined Upper Pocket
A fleece-lined upper pocket with internal organization — the soft-touch pocket designed for phone or sunglasses, the items whose screens and lenses scratch against a regular pocket lining. The fleece is the differentiator that makes this the right home for valuables, not the main compartment.
Luggage Trolley Pass-Through
A luggage trolley pass-through on the back panel — the function that converts the Seattle from a daily pack into a travel carry-on. The pass-through slides over a rolling suitcase handle so the pack rides on top of the roller instead of hanging off one shoulder on airport walks.
High-Sheen Webbing Touch Points
High-sheen webbing touch points at the key stress areas — the visible webbing accents that pick up the JanSport Retro Series look while reinforcing the strap-mount points. The high-sheen finish is the design cue that signals this is the Retro Series, not a baseline daily pack.
100% Recycled 420D Nylon Body
A 100% recycled nylon 420 Denier main body with a recycled nylon ripstop inset — the burly baseline fabric that holds up against years of daily commute abrasion, with the ripstop inset adding tear-resistance at high-stress zones. The denier rating is the part that holds up against a coat-zipper scratch or a set-down scuff.
One Main Zippered Compartment
One main zippered compartment with 34 L of internal volume — the headline size for a pack that doubles as a personal-item on a flight. The single-compartment design means no digging through organizer dividers when the laptop is at the bottom.
Multiple Accessory Pockets
Multiple accessory pockets distributed across the upper pocket and the front panel — the small-item organization that stops the charger, the cable, and the lip balm from vanishing into a single black-hole main compartment. Each pocket has a purpose; together they keep the daily carry sortable.
Suede Lashing Square Detail
A suede lashing square detail on the front panel — the genuine suede accent that anchors the Retro Series aesthetic and provides a reinforced lashing point for a jacket or a carabiner. The suede is a soft material that ages into a patina rather than wearing out, the same way it does on heritage outdoor packs.
JS™ Metal Zipper Pull
The Signature JS™ stamped metal zipper pull on the main compartment — the same hardware used across the full JanSport line, and the part that breaks first on cheap backpacks. The metal pull is the giveaway this isn’t a throwaway pack; it’s the part that takes the most repeated abuse.

Spot Cleaning The 420D Nylon Body
Wipe the 100% recycled 420D nylon body with a damp cloth and mild soap for everyday grime — the same burly baseline fabric used across the JanSport daily-carry line. The ripstop inset releases fresh marks easily but holds onto set-in stains if left for weeks. Treat stains early.
Suede Lashing Square Care
The suede lashing square is a natural leather accent — treat it with a suede protector spray before first use to repel water and resist staining. Brush the suede gently with a suede brush to restore the nap if it gets matted, and avoid soaking the square in rain or it will spot and stiffen.
Padded Bottom Boot Care
The padded bottom boot takes the most abrasion on the pack — it’s the surface that gets dragged across floors and set down on wet pavement. Wipe the boot with a damp cloth weekly and let it air-dry. A stiff-bottom boot keeps the load from sagging; a soft-bottom boot means the foam needs replacing.
Fleece-Lined Pocket & Sleeve Care
The fleece-lined laptop sleeve and upper pocket are the soft-touch surfaces for device screens and sunglass lenses — brush both fleece linings with a lint roller monthly to remove the debris that scratches glass. If the fleece pills after years of daily use, trim the pills with a fabric shaver rather than pulling them.
Luggage Trolley Pass-Through Care
The luggage trolley pass-through on the back panel is a reinforced webbing slot — check the stitching where the webbing meets the back panel seasonally, since the pass-through takes concentrated load when the pack is stacked on a rolling suitcase. If the stitching starts to fray, stop using the pass-through before the webbing pulls free of the body.
JS™ Metal Zipper Pull Care
The Signature JS™ stamped metal zipper pull is the hardware that takes the most repeated abuse — test the pull occasionally to confirm the tab-to-zipper connection hasn’t loosened under daily use. A graphite-free zipper lubricant along the teeth will keep the action smooth if the bag sits unused for a season.
Hand Wash Between Seasons
Hand-wash the pack occasionally in mild soap and water and let it air dry flat — the 420D recycled nylon dries fast. Empty the laptop sleeve, fleece-lined pocket, and accessory pockets before washing. Do not soak the suede lashing square; spot-clean it separately.
Storage
Store the pack empty and flat in a dry place between uses — a closet shelf or under-bed bin keeps the 420D nylon body from sitting in a crease for months. Avoid storing the pack stuffed with last week’s daily carry; residual moisture and body oil will set into the fleece lining.
