Good Latitude Travel Pack 40L

When one bag has to handle the whole trip, space matters. Designed for maximum carry-on capacity, the Good Latitude Travel Pack 40L opens suitcase-style for full visibility, with mesh dividers that keep packing intentional instead of chaotic. A lockable main compartment, theft-deterrent zipper loops, padded laptop storage, and ergonomic plush straps bring comfort and security when carrying more. The main body is constructed with Loop Form™ fabric made from recycled textile waste that is durable, abrasion-resistant, and easy to clean.

Maximum Carry-On Capacity
Designed for maximum carry-on capacity at 40 L — the headline size for a one-bag traveler who needs a pack that holds a full trip’s worth of clothes, accessories, and electronics without forcing a gate-check. The dimensions (21" × 13" × 10") hit the upper edge of carry-on sizing on most major airlines.
Clamshell Dual Compartments
A clamshell dual compartment that opens suitcase-style for full visibility — the form factor that lays the bag flat like a suitcase for packing and unpacking. The clamshell is the design choice that makes a backpack function like luggage; pack like a suitcase, carry like a backpack.
Loop Form™ Recycled Textile Fabric
The main body is constructed with Loop Form™ fabric made from recycled textile waste — the proprietary 900D TPU-coated material that’s durable, abrasion-resistant, and easy to clean. The TPU coating is the differentiator from baseline 600D polyester; it adds water resistance and a wipe-clean surface that a standard pack fabric can’t match.
Lockable Zipper Sliders
Lockable zipper sliders on the main compartment — the security hardware that lets the user thread a TSA-approved padlock through the slider holes to secure the bag at a hotel, hostel, or luggage rack. The lockable sliders are the design that turns a backpack into a luggage-replacement for travel.
Pickpocket-Deterrent Zipper Loops
Pickpocket-deterrent loops that let the user thread a small lock or carabiner through the zipper pulls to secure them together — the anti-theft detail that stops a stranger from unzipping the main compartment in a crowd. The loops are the small hardware touch that adds security on transit without forcing a separate lock.
Ergonomic Padded Shoulder Straps
Ergonomic padded shoulder straps with plush construction — the strap design that distributes a 40 L load across the wearer’s shoulders without concentrating the pressure. The ergonomic shaping is the differentiator from flat webbing straps; the curved silhouette follows the natural shoulder line for a long-carry comfort.
Dedicated 16" Laptop Sleeve
A dedicated padded 16" laptop sleeve sized for a 13″ to 16″ device — the protected slot that keeps the laptop accessible through a clamshell opening without forcing the user to dig through packed clothes. The 17" × 13" sleeve dimensions are sized for a 16" MacBook Pro with a case.
Side Water Bottle Pocket
A side water bottle pocket sized for a 32 oz insulated bottle — the same side-access pocket found on standard JanSport packs, but positioned at a height that’s reachable when the pack is worn. The side pocket sits flat when empty so it doesn’t bulge into the carry profile.
Luggage Trolley Pass-Through
A luggage pass-through on the back panel that slides over a rolling suitcase handle — the function that converts the Travel Pack from a stand-alone carry into a rolling-suitcase rider. The pass-through is the carry choice for an airport walk where the pack rides on top of the roller.
Extra Large Loft Pocket
An extra large loft pocket for the bulky quick-access items — a hoodie, a packing cube, a paperback, the items that don’t fit in a flat organizer pocket. The loft pocket is the form-factor choice for a pack that needs to swallow a last-minute layer without forcing a repack.
Internal Zippered Mesh Pocket
An internal zippered mesh pocket on the inside of the main compartment — the visible-at-a-glance pocket for the small items that disappear into a black hole otherwise: cables, a passport, a slim wallet. Mesh so the contents stay visible without opening the pocket.
Padded Haul Handles
Padded haul handles for a one-hand grab off a luggage belt or a hotel luggage rack — the dual grab handles that let the user pick up the pack from any orientation. The padding distributes the weight across the hand instead of concentrating it on the webbing edge.
900D TPU-Coated Recycled Construction
A 900D TPU-coated 100% Recycled Polyester main body — the most premium fabric in the JanSport line, made from recycled textile waste. The TPU coating adds water resistance and a wipe-clean surface that baseline 600D polyester can’t match; the 900D denier is the most burly baseline in the daily-carry line.

Wipe-Clean Loop Form™ Fabric
The Loop Form™ 900D TPU-coated fabric is the easiest JanSport fabric to clean — the TPU coating wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild soap for everyday grime. The coating is the design that resists set-in stains; treat fresh marks immediately and they lift without scrubbing. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scuff the TPU surface.
TPU Coating Care
The TPU coating gives the Loop Form™ fabric its water resistance and wipe-clean surface — the coating that’s the differentiator from baseline polyester. Avoid prolonged UV exposure, which degrades TPU over time. Store the pack in a closet or cover, not in direct sunlight.
Lockable Zipper Slider Care
The lockable zipper sliders take the most security-related abuse on the pack — they’re the hardware that gets a padlock threaded through it at every hotel stop. Test the slider’s travel with a lock in place seasonally; a slider that binds under lock pressure is the failure mode that strands the user at security.
Pickpocket-Deterrent Loop Care
The pickpocket-deterrent loops see repeated carabiner and lock threading — check the webbing loops and their stitching seasonally. If a loop pulls free of the body, the security feature stops working; replace the pack’s use-case for crowded transit until the loop is repaired.
Clamshell Hinge Care
The clamshell dual compartment opening is the high-cycle hinge of the Travel Pack — it’s the hardware that’s opened and closed every packing and unpacking. Open the clamshell slowly and don’t force it past its travel; the fabric hinges will wear out faster than the body if forced.
Ergonomic Shoulder Strap Care
The ergonomic padded shoulder straps resist compression set under daily load — but sweat and body oil break down the foam cell structure over years. Wipe the straps with a mild soap solution monthly and let them air-dry before storing. Don’t machine-wash the straps; the agitation degrades the foam faster than the fabric.
Luggage Trolley Pass-Through Care
The luggage trolley pass-through on the back panel is a reinforced webbing slot — check the stitching where the webbing meets the back panel seasonally, since the pass-through takes concentrated load when the pack is stacked on a rolling suitcase. If the stitching starts to fray, stop using the pass-through before the webbing pulls free of the body.
Padded Haul Handles Care
The padded haul handles take concentrated load every time the pack is grabbed off a luggage belt or a car trunk — check the stitching where the handles meet the top of the pack seasonally. A haul handle that’s only stitched at the corners can pull free under a heavy load.
Side Water Bottle Pocket Care
The side water bottle pocket is the highest-moisture zone on the pack — wet bottles leak, and condensation builds on cold ones. Wipe the pocket interior weekly with a dry cloth and let it air-dry. The TPU-coated body releases moisture easily, but the pocket interior is a fabric zone that needs drying.
Internal Mesh Pocket Care
The internal zippered mesh pocket is the visible-at-a-glance pocket for small items — brush the mesh lightly with a soft brush to remove the debris that builds up in the mesh weave. If the mesh snags on a sharp cable or a transit pass edge, trim the loose thread flush rather than pulling it.
Hand Wash Between Seasons
Hand-wash the pack occasionally in mild soap and water and let it air dry flat — the TPU-coated 900D fabric dries fast. Empty the laptop sleeve, loft pocket, internal mesh pocket, and water bottle pocket before washing. Don’t machine-wash the ergonomic straps; the agitation degrades the foam.
Storage
Store the pack empty and flat in a dry place between uses — a closet shelf or under-bed bin keeps the Loop Form™ body from sitting in a crease for months. Avoid storing the pack stuffed with last week’s travel clothes. A periodic airing-out prevents the musty smell that builds up in a closed clamshell pack.
