Lightweight, durable, and specifically designed to turn with ease, we believe that we've created magic for the next generation. Leading with fun, progression, and durability to last season after season, the Lil Kat Snowboard fights way above its weight class. The soft-flexing K2 Lil Kat was built with a time-tested formula poised for progression, with Twin Rocker Profile for easy pivoting and Catch-Free™ Tune for fewer falls.

Noodle Construction Core
K2's proprietary Noodle Construction is smooth-flexing and lightweight — perfect for young riders still building leg strength. The core is designed to be forgiving through flex patterns, so the board doesn't punish imperfect technique. Lightweight enough for tiny riders to carry, but durable enough to survive the learning curve.
Twin Rocker Profile
Flat between the bindings with rocker outside — the easiest-pivoting profile for learning to turn. The symmetric shape and identical flex pattern front and back make the board feel the same whether riding left or right foot forward, so falling leaf drills and switch riding come naturally.
Catch-Free™ Tune
K2's Catch-Free Tune rounds the contact points on the tip and tail so the board won't catch an edge unexpectedly. The result: fewer faceplants, more laps, more fun for everyone in the grom's group. The single most important tech feature for first-time snowboarders.
Biaxial Fiberglass
Biaxially woven fiberglass wraps the Noodle core to add stability and edge hold when the mini-shredder turns up the speed dial. The lighter-weight biax layup keeps the board responsive without the heavier triax layup used on adult boards.
Extruded 2000 Base
Durable, low-maintenance, and forgiving of minor base damage from parking lot falls and lift tower kisses. Doesn't need regular waxing like sintered bases — perfect for a board that may sit in storage for a week between lessons. Easy to repair if a deep scratch happens.

Base Care
Wipe down the bases with a dry cloth after each session to remove snow and moisture. The extruded 2000 base is low-maintenance and doesn't require regular waxing like sintered bases — but a light coat of universal wax every 5-10 riding days will keep the base from drying out and protect against minor scratches.
Edge Care
Check edges periodically for any dings from rocks or rails. The Catch-Free Tune means the contact points are rounded, so minor dulling is less noticeable than on adult boards. If edges need sharpening, a basic file or a stop at a local shop will restore them.
Storage
Store the board in a cool, dry place between sessions — a closet, gear locker, or board bag works well. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or garage, where temperature swings can damage the core, base, and topsheet. Use a board sock or bag for transport to protect from scratches.
Binding Maintenance
Check binding mounting screws seasonally to make sure they're tight. As the rider grows, the binding stance can be remounted to a wider position on the 2x4 insert pattern — extending the usable life of both the board and binding setup.
