From the beach to the backyard to the trailhead, the Men's Class V Pathfinder Belted 7" Shorts are up for every type of warm-weather adventure. With a water-repellent finish, added elastane for extra stretch and gear loops to keep everything you need within reach, these shorts are perfect for summer's longest days. Recycled stretch nylon pulls moisture off the skin, sheds spray from a surprise creek crossing, and moves with you on the steep scrambles in between.

Relaxed Fit
Standard fit through the hip and thigh with a relaxed silhouette — roomier than a hiking short, trimmer than a board short. Sits at the natural waist and falls cleanly above the knee at the 7" inseam for a modern, all-purpose profile.
94% Recycled Nylon Body
Body fabric is made with 94% recycled nylon — keeps waste out of the landfill and gives the shorts the quick-dry, abrasion-resistant hand-feel of a true water short. Built to handle creek crossings, lake docks, and the trail between them.
Added Elastane for Stretch
6% elastane woven into the body for two-way stretch — gives the shorts the give you need for high steps, deep lunges, and the kind of awkward scramble a trail always seems to throw at you. Stretch recovery keeps the knees from bagging out after a long day.
FLASHDRY-XD™ Technology
FLASHDRY-XD™ materials offer enhanced moisture management to help keep you comfortable and increased abrasion resistance for extra durability — the "XD" stands for extra durability, so the moisture-management performance doesn't wash out after the first season. Holds up to rocks, packs, and concrete pool decks.
Non-PFC DWR Finish
Durable water-repellent finish causes light rain, trail spray from a creek crossing, and morning dew to bead up and roll off the surface — keeps the shorts from staying wet and heavy through the day. Non-PFC, so no perfluorinated chemicals in the finish.
Encased Elastic Waistband
Encased-elastic waistband stretches with you as you move and holds the shorts in place without the bulk of a stiff waistband. Sits comfortably on the hips through long drives, deep wading, and the inevitable sitting on a log for lunch.
Integrated Webbing Belt
Integrated webbing belt with a secure-lock buckle — dials in the fit at the waist without the bulk of belt loops or a separate belt. The buckle locks in place under load, so the shorts don't loosen when you sit down or take a swim.
Center-Back Gear Loop
Gear loop at center back waistband — clip a carabiner, a chalk bag, or a pair of keys to the back of the shorts for quick access. Small detail, big quality-of-life upgrade on long days out.
Open Hand Pockets
Open hand pockets at the front — sized for a phone, a trail map, a hotel key card, or the keys to the car at the trailhead. Deep enough to keep contents from falling out when you sit down or wade in.
Two Secure-Zip Thigh Pockets
Two secure-zip side pockets on the thighs — the safe spot for a credit card, a small camera, a multi-tool, or a packet of energy chews. Stays closed when you're wading, scrambling, or rolling around to take a photo at the summit.
Embroidered Logo on Left Thigh
Subtle embroidered logo on the left thigh — clean, durable branding that won't peel, crack, or fade like a printed graphic. Small enough to read as a regular short, recognizable enough to know what it is.

Machine Wash Cold
Machine wash cold with like colors on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent — no bleach, no fabric softener. The softener can coat the DWR finish and reduce its water-repellency. Close all zippers and pockets before washing. Rinse twice to get all the sand and lake water out.
Tumble Dry Low
Tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly to minimize wrinkles. Do not iron or dry clean. High heat degrades the elastane stretch and the DWR finish. The recycled nylon dries fast — air drying on a line works equally well and extends the life of the fabric.
Restore DWR
When the shorts start to absorb water instead of repelling it, re-treat with a spray-on DWR designed for technical outerwear. Reactivating the finish every 6-12 months keeps the shorts performing like new and extends their useful life on the trail and in the water.
Belt & Buckle Care
Loosen the integrated webbing belt fully before washing to prevent tangling or stress on the elastic waistband channel. Wipe the secure-lock buckle with a damp cloth to remove sand, salt, and grit that can work into the locking mechanism.
Storage
Store hanging or loosely folded in a cool, dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Make sure the shorts are fully dry before long-term storage to prevent mildew on the recycled polyester lining.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
